Lawless America: Expose One: William McGaughey

Here is "corruption" victim number one in the long list of LA filmees:

William McGaughey.

As you can see he speaks of his "experience" in being falsely accused of Domestic Violence, corruption in City Court over his rental properties and he states he does not even begin to want to speak of his divorce "corruption" experience. Full transcript:

"I am Bill McGaughey from Minneapolis Minnesota. I was twice arrested for domestic abuse and it was part of an ongoing divorce case. My wife is actually Chinese. You know, she came from China, we had been married about ten years. Um it happened when we were arguing about finances. Uh I had my checkbook on the computer table, my wife grabbed it, started looking through it. I asked for the checkbook back, she wouldn't give it to me. I made the mistake of grabbing it out of her hand. She then bit me and I pulled up to release her hand from my mouth, she said she would call 9111 and like a fool I said go ahead. She did. So about fifteen minutes the police came, walked up the stairs, we're in the second story, and immediately the officer put me in handcuffs and led me out to the squad car. Uh then she, he talked to my wife for fifteen, half an hour actually. I read the police report, it claimed that I had held her with one hand and punched her in the face four times causing bruises. Uh my wife even in the prosecutor's statement said this hadn't happened, so she was honest at that time. Then the... as part of domestic abuse is a no-contact order. You can't you know, the judge orders you to stay away from your, the person who accused you of this and if it happens to be in your home, then you can't go back to your home, and this, until the matter is resolved. It could be two or three months until it comes to trial. Well, the city decided to condemn my house. They posted a notice of condemnation a couple of weeks later. So here I am in the situation, I have to do work orders, but the judge has ordered me not to come near my house. Uh okay, okay. The second time was coordinated with divorce. My wife had been throwing things, I called 911, uh my wife got on the phone to complain, and then left the premises. I told the officers when they arrived, nothing to it, let's just drop it, however she and her attorney went to the police station, and claimed I had assaulted her. Now this time there was no physical contact whatsoever, but now I had violated probation. The fortunate thing it was, I had a tape of the 911 call so I just played tough, I said I am representing myself, I am pleading innocent, eventually they dropped the charges. I won't get into the divorce case, there's a horror story there, they're all related, but I'm just telling the domestic assault case at this point. I'm in the clear, everything's been dismissed, but it was a horror to go through this."
